Investing in a modern simulator will enhance our commitment to junior golf in the community and offer an affordable golf experience to all.

Thanks for looking at our crowdfunding page!
We are Brechin Golf Club.
Brechin Golf Club is situated in the North of the County of Angus in the east of Scotland. Brechin Golf Club was established in 1893 and since that time the various clubhouses and course have undergone development and expansion.
It is a James Braid designed parkland course with rolling fairways, true greens and fantastic views of the Angus Glens and Grampian Mountains beyond.

Like many golf clubs across the country, Brechin Golf Club has seen a reduction in the number of people playing golf. This is especially true when we look at our junior section.
In 2021 we had zero junior golfers. Thanks to some tireless work by volunteers we have grown the junior section to over 40.
In the space of two seasons our older juniors have gone from having no handicap to competing in the local junior golf league, winning adult competitions and brining their handicaps down significantly.
Our younger under 12 players compete in the Junior Golf Sixes events and we have junior coaching and on course practice on a Monday evening. Again this is thanks to a group of volunteers and our professional Stephen.
We want to invest in their future and the future of the club by purchasing a state of the art golf simulator. Unfortunately we simply cannot afford the initial outlay on our own and are now crowdfunding the project!
A modern simulator will provide a safe, enjoyable and welcoming place to develop our juniors and offer golf to the wider community at an affordable price.
It is our vision to work with local schools, community groups and perhaps the less able bodied members of our community an offer them a place to learn and a social golfing experience.
Of course this will benefit not only our juniors but our wider membership, golfers from across the county and the rest of the community. Some of our juniors are pictured at the recent end of season prize giving.

How will your donation help
Your donation is vital in us achieving our crowdfunding target. We greatly appreciate every single donation and without your generosity we we will not be able to reach our project goals.
Like every other club and business we are experiencing the financial reality of huge increases in energy bills and the cost of materials to maintain our course, clubhouse and restaurant. We simply cannot afford to make this investment without crowdfunding.
The Scottish weather and long winter means that our junior coaching stops in September until April and we currently don't have the facilities to change that but a modern golf simulator will mean all year round coaching and golf development for everyone. Pictured below is our professional Stephen coaching in the better weather.

We are committed to offering golf to the wider local community. Brechin has a fantastic community spirit and the success of our other sporting clubs, in particular the youth football group, demonstrates that there is a passion for sport.
We are proud to have grown our junior section from zero to forty in a few years but we don't want to stop there!
We want to offer affordable golf coaching and development to all members of our community and see a modern simulator as the perfect accompaniment to our current facilities.
Golf is a game that can be enjoyed by all ages and genders and comes with a beneficial social aspect and we see our simulator as a place people can come together, socialise, develop and have fun!
