Foxie's Future is a CIO (charity with RCN 1204342) which was incorporated in August 2023 following Girlguiding UK's decision to close and sell the Foxlease Activity Centre, just outside Lyndhurst. The site is comprised of a heritage building and 63 acres of surrounding lands, which host residential accommodation facilities, camping and adventurous activities. We hope if you're here it's because you've heard our very exciting news that we're now the proud owner of Foxlease Park (formerly Foxlease Activity Centre). As we move into the next phase of our project, The Next Generation of Foxlease, we're working hard to complete the list of things needed at the site to ensure that we are ready to welcome our first guests in mid-February 2025. Our booking system will open soon! In the time before we open, and before bookings build, we've got huge costs to meet to keep the site running. We own the site itself now, and we're so excited to get started on all sorts of improvements, but in order to do that we also have to keep things ticking along with the everyday bills and financial commitments which for a 65 acre site are rather sizeable - for example our insurance costs for the site are in the region of £170,000 per year. We've had lots of requests as to how people can help and our website has details of how to volunteer and non-financial things which you may be able to offer us but a donation towards funding our insurance and initial post-purchase costs, however small, would go a long way to helping us get going! We've set a healthy target of £200,000 for this new crowdfunder to help us fund our insurance and to get us on our way post-completion. Thank you for your support and we hope to see you at Foxlease Park next year when we're open.
