The Prizes

These three prizes* are a Stout Nerd's dream! The prizes are a collection of some ultra-rare, sold out or retired beers that have been collected from and donated by some of the best UK brewers going. There are also a few non-UK surprises donated from pubs and shops in Sheffield and beyond.

First Prize: "The Stout Wars and Friends Bundle"

This one of a kind collection of 25 beers is built around the Stout Wars collaboration from Steel City Brewing and Lost Industry Brewing two of Sheffield's brewing gems and Emperor's Brewing that I was fortunate enough to source.

The First Trilogy contains three stouts: The Phunky Menace 7.4%, Attack of the Nibs 10.0%, Revenge of the Pith 10.%

The Second Trilogy has three stouts: A Tiramisu Hope 10.0%, The Cookie Strikes Back 10.0%, Return of the Cake 10.0%

The Third Trilogy has four stouts: The Brett Awakens 16.0%, The Last Berry 16.0%, Rise of Stoutdrinker 12.0%, Solo 7.4%

I also managed to get a bottle of Frog Wizard a fruited wild ale 4.1% brewed by the talented beer label artist by Lewis Ryan, A.K.A Lewy

Bang the Elephant has donated these 6 amazing stouts:

Grande Sedrian Delight, a whisky barrel aged oyster stout 13.4%
Harvey Walnut Banger, a coffee and walnut cake imperial stout 14.7%
Diaboito X, a rum and raisin imperial stout 15.4%
Back from the dead, a apricot brandy barrel aged imperial stout 11.8%
An original Hobi Wan a chocolate and coconut hobnob imperial stout 11.6%
Commerce Without Morality a maple and coconut imperial stout 11.2%

Thornbridge Brewery has donated a 2021 vintage bottle of Necessary Evil a bourbon barrel aged stout 13.0%.

This is Beer from Porthcawl, Wales has donated two incredible US stouts:
Fremont 2016 Dark Star 14.5%
Resident Culture Twice as Lonely with Banana 13.5%.

A trio of Sheffield institutions The Rutland Arms, The Crow Inn, and The Harlequin have donated a trio of bottles:

One Year Out Barley Wine 9% from Baron Brewery
SWAP #2 HannaHannaH oak aged stout 11.5% from Brewski
Marvoloso 2023: V14 double barrel aged stout 11.5% from Commonwealth Brewery.

Last but not least two bottles were donated from Cult of Oak / Landlocked Brewery. We have the Cult of Oak Olympus 593B a bourbon barrel aged stout 10.5% bottle 21/250 and the Passion Fruit Mega Colab Imperial Stout Imperial Stout six ways 10.5%

Second Prize: "The Emperor's Collection"

This stunning collection of 12 Emperor's Brewing Stouts has been donated by the brewer himself consisting of:

Third Prize: "The Joule Pack and a Jakehead"

This consists of a Joule glass and £30 worth of vouchers** donated from the spectacular Joule Craft Beer Shop and Tasting Room in Salford and a can of Jakehead beer donated by John Knox.  

**Vouchers must be spent in the Joule located in Salford.

The Cause

The Sheffield S6 Foodbank

Feeding people. Reducing debt. Building community. We believe that no one should go hungry or face crippling debt. That's why we work with communities to empower them and address their immediate needs. 

Across our city-wide foodbank network, we are currently supporting around 1500 people every week with emergency food, with around 600 of them being children.
