Win Glastonbury Tickets and Support Turkey-Syria: Prize Draw

1)    By entering this prize draw, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

2)    The promoter is Oxfam, a company limited by guarantee in England and Wales (612172) and a registered charity in England & Wales (202918) and Scotland (SC039042) with registered office at Oxfam House, John Smith Drive, Oxford, OX4 2JY.  

Eligibility

3)    Entry is permitted from anywhere in the world.

4)    Anyone entering the prize draw accepts that in the event that they win a Prize, they are responsible for their own travel to and from the event (and that of their Guest), including complying with any visa requirements.  

5)    Entrants must be 18-years of age or over on 21st June 2023. 

Entry Requirements and Entry Period

6)    Paid entry to the prize draw is available via Crowdfunder (https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/win-glastonbury-tickets-support-turkey-syria-oxfam).

7)    For free entry by post to the prize draw, see clauses 32-35.

8)    The prize draw opens at 08:00 GMT on Wednesday 15th February 2023 and closes at 12:00 GMT on Wednesday 8th March 2023 (the ‘Entry Period’). Any entries received after the Entry Period will not be accepted. 

9)    Oxfam is not responsible for any delays in postal delivery by Royal Mail. 

The Draw and The Prize Winners

10)    The draw will take place on 15th March 2023 (the ‘Draw Date’).

11)    Once the Entry Period is closed, each individual valid entry will be entered into the draw.

12)    On the Draw Date the administrator of the draw (Oxfam) will use a random number generator to select ten (10) Prize winners from the valid entries, plus twenty (20) additional entries for use as a reserve list in the event that the Prize winner(s) cannot be contacted in line with clause 16 below. 

13)    Multiple entries per person are permitted, but only one Prize per person will be given. For the avoidance of doubt, each entrant will only be entitled to one of the 10 Prizes, as listed in clause 18.

14)    The first number to be drawn will win the First Prize as defined in clause 18(a), the second number to be drawn will win the Second Prize as defined in clause 18(b), with each of the first 10 numbers drawn to win the correspondingly numbered Prize as set out in clause 18 (a)-(j). 

15)    The Prize winners will be notified by email and/or first-class post within 5 days of the Draw Date.

16)    In the event that a Prize winner does not make contact with Oxfam to claim their Prize within twenty-one (21) days of the Draw Date, or is disqualified from the draw, Oxfam will allocate their Prize to one of the reserve list names (in priority order, starting with the 11th person identified in the draw).

17)    Oxfam’s decision as to the Prize winners is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

The Prizes

18)    The Prizes are as follows (each ‘a Prize’): 

a)    First Prize: Entry for two to Glastonbury Festival 2023 plus watch a set from the Pyramid Stage viewing platform;

b)    Second Prize: Entry for two to Glastonbury Festival 2023 plus watch a set from the Other Stage viewing platform;

c)    Third Prize: Entry for two to Glastonbury Festival 2023 plus watch a set from the Pyramid Stage viewing platform;

d)    Fourth Prize: Entry for two to Glastonbury Festival 2023 plus watch a set from the Other Stage viewing platform;

e)    Fifth Prize: Entry for two to Glastonbury Festival 2023 plus introduce an act on The Park stage;

f)    Sixth Prize: Entry for two to Glastonbury Festival 2023 plus exclusive small ad in the Glastonbury Free Press and first copy of the paper off the press;

g)    Seventh Prize: Entry for two to Glastonbury Festival 2023 plus backstage tour of West Holts and watch an act from the stage pit;

h)    Eighth Prize: Entry for two to Glastonbury Festival 2023 plus pre-show tour of the Festival Site;

i)    Ninth Prize: Entry for two to Glastonbury Festival 2023 plus Glastonbury-On-Sea Experience; and 

j)    Tenth Prize: Entry for two to Glastonbury Festival 2023 plus experience at The Common.

19)    Experiences will be at a pre-arranged day/ time of the Festival’s choosing at the discretion of the Festival, subject to agreement with the area / site manager.

20)    Access to viewing platforms/ pit and the introduction of an act will be for a non-headliner slot of the Festival’s choosing at the discretion of the Festival organisers, subject to agreement with the stage manager and artist/band. The winner will not be able to select the artist/band of their choosing.

21)    The free press publication forming the Sixth Prize in clause 18(f) will be subject to copy approval for the dedication, which will be given approximately 1/32nd of a page on the back page of the newspaper (Thursday or Sunday edition). 

22)    Each winner will receive two (2) entry tickets, with which they can redeem entry to the festival for themselves and a guest (‘Guest’). Each winner must accept sole responsibility for the care and safety of any Guest under the age of 16-years on 21st June 2023, for the duration of the event. 

23)    The Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and are not redeemable for cash or other prizes.

24)    All Prizes will be personalised to the named winner and their Guest.

25)    The winners will be required to provide the Glastonbury Registration number for themselves and their Guest. Details of how to obtain the Glastonbury Registration number will be provided to the winners.

26)    The winner and their Guest will be required to verify their identity as the named ticket holder in order to gain access to the event.

27)    For U.K. based winners, tickets will be dispatched two (2) weeks prior to the event and to the postal address provided in registration and will require a signature on delivery, or, if required, can be held at the box office for collection by the winner.  For international winners, details will be provided for box office collection at least two (2) weeks prior to the event. 

28)    The winners and their Guest must arrive at the event together. 

29)    Winners and their Guest must not be intoxicated at the point of redeeming their festival experience.

30)    Entry to the festival is subject to the full Glastonbury Ticket Terms and Conditions of Entry. 

31)    The receipt by the winning entrant of any of the Prizes is conditional upon the winning entrant’s compliance with these rules. Winning entrants may be required to provide a written acknowledgement of these rules and other terms and conditions, consents or releases relating to the Prizes. 

Postal Entry

32)    Postal entrants may enter the promotion: 

a)    by mailing their full name and a contact telephone number (including area code if providing a landline number) or other method of contact (as applicable), to the following postal address:

Oxfam Glastonbury Prize Draw, Mosaic Fulfilment Solutions, York House, Wetherby Road, Long Marston, YORK YO26 7NH; and

b)    by sending an entry within an envelope. Entries received other than in an envelope will not be accepted.

33)    In the case of multiple entries received in a single envelope, only one entry will be entered into the draw.

34)    Entries sent by post;

a)    must be received at the relevant postal address specified for entries by the end of the Entry Period as specified in Clause 8.

b)    Entries which have not been given the correct and sufficient payment for postage will be invalid and will not be considered.

35)    Personal and hand delivered entries will not be accepted.

General

36)    Oxfam shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations to the winner(s) if such delay or failure is caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Neither shall Oxfam be liable to the winner(s) for any loss or damage suffered in connection with this prize draw and/or the Prize, save in respect of death or personal injury caused by the negligence or fraud of Oxfam.

37)    Oxfam reserves the right to make any reasonable amendments to these Terms and Conditions at any stage. In this event, a notice will be posted on https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/win-glastonbury-tickets-support-turkey-syria-oxfam. Oxfam also reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize draw where it becomes necessary to do so.

38)    As a condition of entering the prize draw, entrants must ensure that, by doing so, they do not contravene any laws of their country of residence. Oxfam will not be liable in any way if any entrant enters the prize draw unlawfully.

39)    Entrants may be required to participate in publicity without further consent or payment, such publicity including without limitation the entrant’s name, entry or any information provided by the entrant, including photographs and videos. This information may be used by Oxfam in any and all media, including but not limited to Oxfam’s social media platforms, in perpetuity throughout the world as Oxfam may decide. 

40)    Any personal information collected by Oxfam in connection with a prize draw will be used in accordance with Oxfam’s Privacy Policy (https://www.oxfam.org.uk/privacy-and-security/full-privacy-policy/).

41)    A list of winners can be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope to Supporter Relations, Oxfam House, Oxford OX4 2JY, together with details of the prize draw winners list you require within thirty (30) days from the Draw Date.

42)    Oxfam will make available information indicates that a Prize has been awarded under this draw.  To comply with this obligation Oxfam will send the surname and county of prize winners to anyone who writes to Supporter Relations, Oxfam House, Oxford OX4 2JY (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one (1) month after the Draw Date stated in Clause 10. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact Oxfam at ‘[email protected]’. In such circumstances, Oxfam must still provide the information and winning entries to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

43)    This prize draw and these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any disputes arising therefrom.
