Sport Northern Ireland launches new sports fund on Crowdfunder.

Today sees the launch of Sport Northern Ireland’s new ‘Creating Opportunities Fund’.

Where sports clubs, community organisations, and Parent Teacher Associations can apply for up to £5,000 in matchfunding. As the new fund aims to increase participation in sport and physical activity across Northern Ireland. Focusing on projects that promote accessibility and inclusion, particularly for individuals who have traditionally been excluded from participating in sports or from taking on active roles within clubs, such as coaching, officiating, or board membership.

Conleth Donnelly, Sport Northern Ireland’s Sports Development Manager stated: “At Sport Northern Ireland we are looking to get more people, more active, more often, to create a healthier, fitter society. Together with Crowdfunder and our communities, we can break down barriers to participation and provide more opportunities for everyone. This fund can make a real difference to the lives of people across Northern Ireland.”
